When you are recording, remember to do it in a silent space, even if you live in a loud city, try to adapt an specific space to make you recordings.
The plugins are the most important part when you are recording a voice or an instrument. But make sure yourself that you add all your plugins when you are totally sure that your recording is done.
Don't forget the compressor.
When you are recording something, that recording it's going to have ups and downs' it's like a Rollercoaster, and that is not going to sound good on your recording. So make sure that you add an audio compressor to your mic line.
32 Float bits
It's important to have a good sample rate, if you don't work with the 32 float bits, your recording it's going to sound with minimum silences that you can not hear, but actually, that reduces you recording quality.
